The larvicidal effect of the essential oil nanoemulsions Curcuma xanthorrhiza (known as ginger java) in Aedes aegypti species. For this, they were collected plants C. Luís, MA and, later, separated leaves from their respective branches. was obtained by means hydrodistillation dragging a steam at temperature 100ºC for 3 hours. prepared using phase inversion method. chemical constituents quantified and identified Gas Chromatography Coupled with Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS). eggs transmitted through ovit traps. As larvae, hatched mineral water, fed until 4th instar. activity activity. living dead count. A Probit statistical analysis performed to quantify Lethal Concentration 50% (LC50). GC/MS major components oil, namely germacrone (25.46%), xanthorrizole (17.52%) eucalyptol (11.92%). nanoemulsion an LC50 25.94 mg. L-1, being defined evaluation criterion active control combat A. aegypti. has efficient activity, so there is need further studies its form operation safety larvae.
